I.T.A. SPA, Industria Trafilati Acciai, is one of the most dynamic companies in the steel sector. We produce and supply phosphated and galvanized hard drawn steel wires for cables armouring, ACSR, telecommunication cables, lifting ropes, ropes for transporting people, fishing ropes, off-shore applications, hoses reinforcement armouring, transmissions and production of spring for the automotive industry and for mechanics in general.

 

A family
history

The entrepreneurial spirit of the Beri family is the essence of I.T.A. S.p.A. which is realized with constant investments in research and development to guarantee high production standards for the best customer satisfaction. In 1966 Giovanni Battista Beri founded the company I.T.A. S.p.A. in Calolziocorte together with his wife Maria Grazia. Since then, it never stopped growing, becoming soon a firm reference for the drawn steel wire sector, first in Italy and then abroad. Today the company is led by Andrea Beri, son of Giovanni Battista, and has a constantly growing turnover exporting most of its production around the world, over 70% to Europe, to the United States and to the major industrialized countries.

The production site

The factory, which covers an area of ​​75,000 m², is located in the heart of northern Italy, in Calolziocorte (Lecco), 50 km from Milan, close to the main roads connecting with the rest of Europe. This geographical location has influenced positively the growth and consolidation of the company since the beginning, characterizing its reality in terms of technological and organizational progress.
