MAB70® : advanced technology for surface quality and precision

A revolution in the production process of drawn round bars from 15 mm to 32 mm (with plans to expand up to 45 mm) is redefining quality standards in the industry. Thanks to the innovative MAB70® technology, each six-meter bar is cut in-line, eliminating the dimensional variations typical of traditional shear cutting. This new method ensures that the tip's geometry and measurements are perfectly aligned with the rest of the bar, preventing waste and guaranteeing flawless and controlled tips in every piece.

MAB70® goes even further: with the introduction of the CIRCOGRAPH + DEFECTOMAT version, surface quality reaches exceptional levels, far exceeding the requirements of Class 3. By using two advanced inspection tools, MAB70® detects and corrects both longitudinal defects (such as cracks and folds) and transverse ones (such as flakes and holes), ensuring extended surface integrity even in the first 5 centimeters of the tip, which are normally not inspectable.

Additionally, to improve handling during loading, the end of the bars features a deep 30° bevel, making end preparation easier with central rod milling for optimal grip.

With experimental data demonstrating a drastic reduction in the percentage of material with significant defects, MAB70® comes close to achieving "zero defects," making the cold drawing process an ideal choice for demanding sectors such as Automotive and Hydraulics.
