The rising costs of energy and gas and the cost forecasts for the companies of the Metalworking District of Lecco are on the rise. Andrea Beri, ITA Spa CEO, expressed his opinion on this delicate and complex issue during the talk show Porta a Porta on 13 September 2022.
Bills eight times higher than those of 2019, doubling the cost of raw materials and loss of competitiveness compared to non-EU countries. Even in Europe, conditions are disadvantageous for Italian companies compared to French and Spanish companies, which can enjoy significantly lower prices for the purchase of the energy mix necessary for the operation of production companies. A worrying picture - explained Beri - with respect to which a political solution is urgently needed.
